Welcome Home of Chattanooga is building its new, permanent home: a community of care at Quiet Creek Trail that will serve as a sanctuary for those who need medical respite for cancer treatment or compassionate end-of-life care.
Sign up for updatesNot everyone who faces a critical illness has someone to walk alongside them. Since 2015, Welcome Home has been working to fill this gap. 93 residents have made Welcome Home their home when it was needed most.
Creating a safe place with shelter, access to meals, appropriate medical care and love through family-style care is how Welcome Home works to meet the needs of people every single day.
Now, Welcome Home is building its own home. We are creating a community of care at Quiet Creek designed to impact all who are a part: residents, staff, volunteers, and community champions. We seek to nurture empathy, compassion, and kindness, acting in ways to bring about peace, reconciliation and wholeness - and creating a ripple effect that resonates far beyond our campus.
Each of our residents has been a teacher and a guide. Sammy was our first resident. We cooked our first meal at Welcome Home for his wife and ate with her as we kept vigil for him. Others came, trusting us with their care.
Your donation will help us build our new home to provide shelter, healing, and compassionate end-of-life care as we all learn to walk each other home.
In order to maintain a family-like atmosphere, Welcome Home relies on the kindness and devotion of volunteers. We welcome all gifts and skills, whether it's providing companionship, cooking a meal or helping with our memory garden. We have a special Mentoring Program for those who would like to be end-of-life caregivers. We have monthly volunteer orientation sessions to provide more information about our mission and volunteer opportunities. Everyone is welcome.
